When a textbook pattern fails

Failed breakouts are data. Here is how we log them in training.

A clean flag that breaks the wrong way is not a personal failure. It is the market refusing the measured move you hoped for.

In our workshops we record the invalidation level before entry language enters the room. If price closes beyond that level, the pattern thesis is closed—no averaging down in training scenarios.

Keeping a failure log builds pattern recognition faster than collecting only the wins you screenshot.
